[ Dokja seems to be in the process of leaving his room currently, moving into the hallway when he catches sight of Kazunari ]
Ah, Miyoshi Kazunari. Doing some exploring?
[ Dokja is in a different set of clothes now that those are available, a sword at his hip, but not just that... something else is poking its head from the room door he left open.
A white fluffy head, a medium-sized dog seeming to come out! Except, once it steps out, it's obviously not a dog at all. It's a fox, with striking white fur that seems to aesthetically have little twinkles of stars among its fur. It waves all nine of its tails behind it before emitting a soft bark at Kazunari. It doesn't seem aggressive at all though, very friendly actually. ]
Fine with me! All the better to get to know everyone, right?
[ reader, meet friendly mcextrovert ]
A few! A bunch of you have animals with you. But you said she's a daemon? Like the soul kind? Rin-Rin told me a little about his... Don't worry, I'll make sure not to touch her!
[ if this were a normal animal he would offer his hand, but not for a daemon!! so he just remains still while she sniffs and watches with a smile. ]
[ the way he's immediately distracted when jin touches him, though?! ]
Oh! I guess not! [ he'll gladly give her some scritches because this is probably, like, a high honor or something?! ] Well, if attention is all she wants, I'd be more than happy to give it to her anytime! She's totes adorbs!
[ Jin leans into the scritches, she is a melting fox with happy whines. She'll even start to hop in place excitedly as if she's feeding off on his energy. ]
If she becomes a bit of a handful, just let her know. She'll catch on quick.
Basically, it was part of our situation from before. When we arrived, we woke with our daemon companions. They all had three different forms at the time though.
She didn't look like this until she settled- or, you can say "matured." [ gestures to her white nine-tailed fox goodness. ]
[ library... the place to be when you are a huge hecking nerd. ]
Come here often? [ he's joking, he knows your profile, dude. ] If you've got any recs on what to read, I want to hear 'em! Otherwise, I'm just going to get stuck in the art section again.
So far today, yes. [ which is fair, Dokja will just be here all day at this rate. ] Don't think you'll find my favorite story here.
But, anything with a good fantasy genre is sure to be interesting. [ Jin, his white nine-tailed fox daemon, perks her head and yips at Kazunari. a friendly lil soft yap. ] I remember drawing and painting from your profile. Do a lot of art back home?
I'm not against fantasy. [ oh, jin is here! he immediately kneels to offer her pets if she wants. ] And yeah, I'm an art major in university, so you could say I do a lot of it. I'm reeeaaally starting to miss my paints here, though.
Ohhhh. And there's no internet... I guess we all miss it for some reason or another.
Bestie suggested that, too, but I feel bad bothering them about something like that when there are more important things going on, you know? [ a curious headtilt. ] How are they different from the Watchers?
Pretty much. And well, given the theme of everything, highly doubt we'll ever see the internet.
[ he laughs a bit with his next words. ] A drastic difference when Yoo Joonghyuk was known for bothering the Watchers for food ingredients frequently.
Well, in exchange of doing tasks, we were able to get both items and abilities from home with the Watchers. Of course, their exchanges had a limit so I have to assume it's the same here.
Samesies... It'd be nice if we could, though! If for nothing else but to tell everyone back home we'll be back soon, you know?
Ehhh? He did that? Could you not get food where you were? [ that guy... is so funny. ] But yeah, that's what I'm worried about. I remember someone saying they ran out of heals or something, so I didn't want to take a spot away if it's like that.
Communication with home has never been a factor in these kinds of trips.
[ a bit optimistic that you expect to not come out of these permadead. ]
The first world had little to no supplies if I remember right. [ it's been so long his memory is a little shakey. ] The heals may have their own limitations by the week.
[ Jin heaves a long huff. ] Have somewhat less to worry about here at least. Concerning food, I mean.
Honestly... that sounds a little like how the prism was, at first. I wonder if that's a common thing? At least it's not an issue here.
Maybe we should ask the staff how that works, though - the heals and stuff. I don't think it's really clear? Like, IDK how anyone even figured out they could do that in the first place. The residents def couldn't.
[ let's have a little visit in ahnkeen (someday i'll remember how to spell it correctly)! specifically, the oasis. Jin, the white nine-tailed daemon, seems to be having a lil swim in a fountain. ...it's fine, totally. Dokja perks up and offers a friendly greeting. ]
Afternoon, Miyoshi Kazunari. [ the kr men and their formal full name. just ask him to not be so formal it's okay ] How are you doing?
[ i only got it right because i doublechecked the page like 5 tIMES also damb kazu you give nicknames but keep your own fine. c'mon king. fortunately kdj can eventually go real casual ]
It was but it isn't the first time I got heavily accused like that. I was more concerned it would turn a different way. [ like people would take up on yjh's stupid comment to vote for him instead. ]
Possibly, but your prism is the only other world I've gotten told about so I can't say for sure.
.. Though, it did take a bit to be given our rooms here. [ :beegunr: staff ]
We could send letters to our Watchers to come to heal those that came back from their excursions, but that was also our only means of healing outside medkits. Though we were able to resupply them little by little. [ ... ] Especially the one week where we had an effect where old wounds would start bleeding again.
[ anyways,, ] Though.. you guys had med pods, did you not?
That's awful... But it will give us even more incentive not to let it happen again.
I've been wondering that, too, but it took a long time for us to start finding their letters. The staff seems pretty convinced that they're gone for good, but I don't want to give up on them.
We had to work to make the prism something livable in the first week. It was kind of a disaster when we first got there, but at least we had something to eat here! Can't complain about that.
Old wounds?! Yikes! That sounds really bad! But you were all okay?
[ and people said the prism was messed up when y'all had old wounds reopening and vore?? ]
We did, yeah. It only took about eight hours for a full heal - really convenient! I kind of miss it.
w0, sunday.

Sure am! Had to check out the new digs, you know?
[ the little bark gets his attention, and he lights up with a gasp! ]
Omigosh! You had an animal friend, too?! I'm starting to feel left out! [ he kneels to offer her a wave! ] Hey there!
no subject
You'll be at it all day if that's your plan.
[ there are so many rooms?? ]
You've met another then? This is Jin, she's my daemon companion.
[ when kazunari kneels, Jin takes that opportunity to approach, sniffing curiously with a wave of her many, many tails. hello hello!! ]

[ kdj's introvert vibes like :um: ]
Exactly like his. But, it should be fine if you pet her, seems like their abilities have been stripped of as well so. And she likes the attention.
[ especially because since Jin is capable of getting pets from anyone, she will be needy and actually bump her muzzle against kazunari's hand. ]

What does it mean that she "matured," though? What's that say about you, if she's supposed to be your soul?
no subject
[ He hums. ] You can say it means I've come to some important decisions in my life.
no subject
[ this is like a graduation kind of thing, right? ]
It's nice that she got to come here with you, if that's the case. I can't imagine being stuck somewhere for two months without your soul.

I wonder if you could ask a staff member for some but, they seem to do things differently compared to the Watchers.

I think, now more than ever, we owe it to them all to find a way out safely.
