[ Jin is probably all the second Shinobu grabs her. Dokja will take that opportunity to grab one of her paws to properly scrub of earlier dirt. ]
I'm alright. High tension at the end but... I cannot blame the group for wanting to protect their friend. [ there's no malice of clear aggression to what happened.] ..I just wish we were able to figure out who had killed Kaeya Alberich. It isn't a good feeling not knowing, even if I have my guesses.
[ especially since this isn't the first time it's happened to him, looks at chasma in not knowing who killed sheba at the time of the case. pensive ]
[ Jin fusses, but she calms with the pets. Especially since the attention is mostly on having her paws cleaned than what she expected. ]
Someone with combat experience, and getting in close proximity of him. Though I had been suspicious of Sylvain Jose Gautier on Rupert's case, I wouldn't have been surprised if he was the one that killed Kaeya Alberich.
[ IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN GAY DRAMA AFTER ALL dumps my sussy thoughts on you. "zetsu shinobu has poison and sword experience why not her" i refuse to think shinobu would poison hickey kaeya :knife: ]
[ roxana would poison hickey anyone in two seconds, but shinobu is a different breed of poisonous butterfly..... unless?
she wonders about that. ]
I suppose the possibility is there, but I think his ticket purchases have been accounted for. [ ... ] Although no one did admit to getting an extra ticket this week outside of Bradley-san, did they?
[ unless.....? but also he trusts Shinobu to say now that it is post trial. he lets go Jin's paw to take hold of the other to clean, she is mellow now but mostly cause she's now extending the now free paw at Shinobu. ]
No, from what I can remember. Which there had been at least a few every week, hasn't there? [ at the very least more than one? ] If you don't mention receiving a stellar one, that's one ticket for free use under the radar.
So far it seems to only be shadow possession but, hopefully, it only stays that way. It isn't going to do any of us any good if we push to kill on our own.
[ there, no more scrubbing. he's going to focus on rinsing the daemon of the soap but
from Dokja's side of the shared bathroom, something peeks from his room-- small, lean, looking to resemble.. a weasel? that hisses when it's spotted and hides back into the room. ok bye ]
Though I want to guarantee Biyoo's safety, I'd rather not play to the entertainment of someone hiding in the shadows.
[ there's some calm aggression there, not directed to her of course. nightman is a bnich.
since it's just washing now, Jin does not take her escape. though she does bark at the sight of the weasel as it scurries off. ]
Sorta. [ he pauses, before he turns off the water now that Jin is rinsed off. ] I did a break-in at the start of this week. That weasel is technically a daemon as well, it belonged to someone from my group's previous game. The suite room looked abandoned... it was barely scraping by with food so. I've taken it in and have been feeding it.
Not too sure why it was abandoned though, unless... [ its partner has either 1) forgotten about it or 2) not.. around? he frowns a little, whether you have strong feelings about your daemon or not, he can't imagine just abandoning them. ]
I, as well, do not want to be anyone's entertainment.
[ killing people who aren't demons or horrible people also takes a certain toll on her.
she thinks about what he says. ]
Do you think that someone would leave their daemon like that? I've heard from some others that there are some findings about these room break-ins that don't quite fit. That something may be just a bit off. I don't know if that's the case across the board because it's only been described to me in general terms, but....
[ she looks in the direction the weasel ran off. ]
If it were someone from my game that I was more familiar with, then maybe I would be able to tell but. The person that this daemon belongs to is from Hua Cheng's world and unfortunately he was not with me at the time of investigating. So I wouldn't know if anything seemed strange about the room. Other than it being unused for some time.
[ Jin gives a nice lil shake of her fur. Just enough to shake a bit of water leftover clinging to her before she sits at the open door to his room. Peeking around to see if the weasel will come back. ]
It's a dangerous thing to leave your soul unsupervised. Even if one were to not think highly of their daemon- there are too many risks in abandoning it. So, I don't think anyone would leave their daemon like that unless they had no choice.
That's the strange part, don't you think? All of you with your daemons still keep them close even if they are no longer connected to you like they were.
[ she watches jin look for the weasel. ]
It makes you have to think what the reason could be. What could have happened for that to occur?

.... Someone who could cleanly cut off his hand. That's a certainty.

[ even if shinobu hasn't thought too much of buying stuff from the gift shop outside of the first aid kit. ]
More chances for any potential murderer to hide, especially as our numbers dwindle and people become closer.

[ that's always a possibility. she isn't going to discount it, the possibility someone killed or will kill without possession.

I do not think it is as simple as having just been abandoned. Either it has been forgotten it exists or forcefully separated.
[ memory loss? or death? though, if it was death, would it not be asleep? given what they've seen from the trials..? ]
