When we approached the bar it looked as if there was a celebration going on. There were several glasses on the counter, each filled with alcohol. They were sliding across the bar, a strange piano tune playing as shadows in the corner of our eyes were drinking. The party kept going.
We weren't able to participate though. I tried to see if I could grab a glass as it slide and they always moved out of reach. And when I tried to approach and talk with the shadows, the music got louder. That's it, really.
Oh, right. I forgot until now but I actually got a phone call last night.
I heard the sound of gasping at first. There was.. a dragging sound, and soon a distinct, choking gurgle before it ended with a loud thud. Silence after that.
[ he's just vibing while waiting for the deets, bathroom door open as he looks thoughtfully across the room at claude's door. ]
I tried opening it from this side just for the fun of it, and it's locked. Too bad; I wanted to see if his room would still be his or if it would be a blank void.
[ sorry rin. anyways, to kdj's room! Jin isn't in the immediate area but chilling half into the shared bathroom he has, (carefully) squishing a familiar weasel. ]
As you saw at the meeting earlier, Mollymauk Tealeaf did indeed kill Emet-Selch. When I spoke with him directly he admitted to it easily. Claimed it was a shadow possession, which he stated he knows I only have his word on it but I believe him.
[ he crosses his arms here, expression calm. ]
Harrowhark Nonagesimus meanwhile offered me two pieces of information, one with her having admitted to lying for him in trial. She had not realized it was Mollymauk until she caught sight of his locket. The second piece of information is if there is someone among the people I speak to who is looking for revenge or simply seeking a convenient target whose hostage is secure, she wanted me to be aware that she was the one who killed Aikawa, and she was not possessed by a shadow.
In her words, "Clearly this is a greater level of culpability and will be more palatable for a potential killer as well." I believe her to be sticking her neck out to avoid the risk of Mollymauk being targeted. [ which is understandable and honestly kdj would do the same? ]
Otherwise, she gave me a word of warning. That there are some who believe Sylvain's murderer must have come from among our number, and that it was an act of revenge. [ lmao ] She personally does not think any of us did it but advises that it might be wise to clear this up if there is a more generous explanation. If because revenge won't be as tolerable compared to being possessed.
[ :') ] I figured I'd leave that final bit with you though, Hua Cheng.
[ he doesn't seem surprised? a little impressed, but not surprised, so. ]
I'm not surprised that they believe that one of us did it. So long as they don't go after one of you for it - if someone starts stirring things up, or you have any suspicions, simply send them my way and I'll tell them myself to clear the air. But considering the fit that Debeste threw today and the hypocrisy present during town hall from a number of parties, I'm not interested in outright telling the public, either.
[ so he obviously feels much the same way about it as harrow, except he'll take them down with him if they even try. ]
Were I to lie and say that I was possessed, it would throw the numbers off and would possibly put the known confessions under fire. So far it seems the extent has been two possessed at most, with a possible willing murder in the event of Harrow and myself.
In the end, who killed who is the least helpful for us.
[ Joonghyuk doesn’t care only because he,,. supposes Sylvain killed Kaeya, based on what was said in trial yesterday along with some other stuff, but
Yeah. It would be different if it was someone here dead with no answers. Sometimes you’re just biased. Even if you understand this premise is pitting people against each other, sometimes you’re just extremely biased. ]
It matters more on how many are shadowed, and getting to the root of that to ensure that it's put to a stop. The how and the why.
[ sometimes you really are biased, and that's hua cheng's position, too. it's why he keeps showing his teeth every time people start pressing on their group - perhaps they aren't as blatant about it as the station group, but they are clearly looking out for each other. ]

We'll have to wait and see if anyone found themselves buried this week, and whether we ought to care about the cemetery or not.

I was hoping that it would only be a one-time experience, but I can't say I'm too surprised. We had two three body situations in our run.
